Taipei native Wenlan Chia launched Twinkle.s first collection in 2000. Influenced by her mother.s role as a pattern maker, Chia began experimenting with her own clothing designs when she was little. After graduating from the University of Taiwan, she moved to New York to study art history but was soon influenced to focus on fashion after taking some courses at FIT and from strangers on the street who wanted to buy her creations she would wear. The look of Twinkle features whimsical prints and boldly patterned knits, which are applied to womenswear, children.s clothes, and even home decor.
