Stuart Weitzman is the designer of the international, high-end shoe company, Stuart Weitzman. Weitzman's trademark use of unique materials, and his attention to detail, earned him and his company global consideration. Currently, his products are sold in forty five different countries. Weitzman began designing shoes for his father's business in the early 1960s, when he was in his 20s. When his father, Seymour Weitzman, died in 1965, Stuart took over the business with his older brother, Warren. They sold the business to a company in Spain in 1972, but Stuart continued to design shoes for them. In 1994, he bought back the business, but continues to manufacture his shoe designs in Spain. Since 2002, Weitzman has provided one-of-a-kind, luxurious shoes for Oscar nominees to wear at the Oscars. Some celebrities who have been seen in Stuart Weitzman are Jennifer Love Hewitt, Eva Longoria, Heidi Klum, and Sharon Stone. Stuart Weitzman shoes are available at renowned department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Neiman Marcus.
