Rag & Bone

Traveling the streets door-to-door, collecting scrap metals, old rags, and bones for reuse and resale – that was the rag & bone man, a British recycling pioneer. Classic American style and crisp tailoring by David Neville and Marcus Wainwright – that is Rag & Bone, the label. Modeled after the same authentic and positive values of the label’s historic namesake, Rag & Bone is a classic line of men’s and women’s sportswear that focuses on quality and fit. With no formal design instruction, but a strong admiration for British tailoring, Wainwright, the designer, and Neville, the business maven, launched the brand in 2002 with a desire to create jeans and clothes that people would love. Engrained with a philosophy inspired by the Kentucky natives who first crafted their pieces, they maintain a domestic manufacturing process in hopes of not sacrificing the authentic and handmade appeal of their designs. Their signature style is a modest mix of gentleman-inspired pieces and sleek lines. In the Fall of 2007, Rag & Bone added to their already impressive sportswear line-up and launched an accessories collection which includes cashmere knits, scarves, hats and handbags. After collaborating with the legendary Manolo Blahnik, the brand also introduced a stunning collection of shoes. Rag & Bone is sold in over 120 high-end stores throughout the U.S. and abroad. With no plans of slowing down, the dynamic fashion duo is set to open their first free standing store in the West Village, where New Yorkers can find the entire covetable collection under one roof.
