Juicy Couture

Juicy Couture was founded by Gela Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy in Pacoima, Calif., in 1994. Thanks to the Hollywood-infused popularity of their signature terrycloth sweatpants and hoodie tracksuits, the women are often credited for introducing California casual style to the rest of the world. Since the merge with Liz Claiborne Inc. in 2003, the brand has evolved a long way from its T-shirt origins to now not only womenswear but menswear, dog wear, accessories, and eyewear. Juicy Couture opened its first store in 2004 in Las Vegas and unveiled the Juicy Couture Barbie shortly thereafter. The duo has opened several new locations across the states, including two new stores in New York City.
