Carl Franz Bally began what today is known as a universal name Bally shoes in 1850 after a business trip to Paris. He was enticed by a pair of decorated slippers. On his return to Switzerland, he began to manufacture these slippers he had fallen in love with in Paris. A year later Bally has already created Bally and co. with his brother and has fired shoemakers to work in the basement of his home where they handcrafted these delicate slippers. Within a few years the company began to export their shoes to South America and opened stores in Switzerland. The company now became known as C.F. Bally after Franz’s bother stepped down. In the following years the company grew and the stores success grew. Now Bally is an internationally known company. Bally shoes can be found online and in Europe.
