Alexander Wang

Popular among Hollywood stars and New York's model crowd, San Francisco native Alexander Wang.s clothes fuses a laid-back Californian aesthetic with an edgy downtown street style. In 2005, then aged 22 and a sophomore at Parsons School of Design in New York, Wang launched a chic cashmere knitwear line, later expanding into denim, and ultimately ready-to-wear, which is best known for its luxe take on laid-back separates. Rachel Bilson, Mischa Barton, Lindsey Lohan, and Ashlee Simpson are among Wang's many trendsetting fans. In November 2008 Wang won the Vogue/ CFDA Fashion Fund Award, which entitles him to $200,000 to grow his business.
