Classic American Labels
What better time—or way—to celebrate the United States than by paying homage to its rich fashion heritage? Glam reviews a few of our favorite all-American labels.
Keds
Nicknamed because their lightweight design allowed the wearer to walk around silently, the first rubber-soled “sneakers” were created by Keds in 1916. As one of the early versions of athletic shoes on the market, the fuss-free footwear quickly became a favorite of preppy teens and sporty Hollywood stars alike. This season, the label’s signature all-white shoes have become a key accessory in the geek-chic trend. Keds.com
