Day 2: NYFW Spring 09

It was a family affair at Charlotte Ronson’s spring-summer runway show, with sister Sam in the front row next to a demure yet sexily dressed Lindsay Lohan while brother Mark’s squeeze Daisy Lowe walked the catwalk. The collection was a mixture of gray denim staples—little skirts, biker jackets with myriad zips—and cute T-shirts with rolled-up sleeves, in spots and stripes. Several trends seem to be emerging this week; florals, harem trousers updated for spring, and little checks on sheer blouses are all going to be big news after winter. The palette of pale pinks, gray, and blue made the overall feel of the show feminine and effortless—a cool girl’s dream wardrobe.
