(2 of 8) NYFW Fall 08: Herve LegerForget about Justin Timberlake: Herve Leger is the one responsible for bringing sexy back. The famed '80s house has slowly been revamped by BCBG's Max Azria over the past four years, and the result has led to a profusion of bandage dresses—Leger's signature style—on the red-carpet scene. For the fall collection, the first to be shown on the runway, Azria transformed the coquettish body-skimming silhouette into mature, sensual ensembles. Gone were the candy colors the house was built on. In their place came soft, tranquil hues including mauve and gray, shades not unlike those employed in Azria's other labels. Artfully placed embellishments including ribbons, rosettes, and chiffon trim steered the tight dresses away from risqué territory, while subtle color variations and exposed back zippers promise to elongate even less-than-rail-thin frames.
