Fusing iconic shapes—from New Look dresses to cocoon coats—with forward-looking fabrics like PVC and latex, the designer made a strong case for dramatically severe silhouettes. In addition to his armorlike separates in gray, black, and champagne hues, Ghesquiere unveiled a few tough-luxe accents that will no doubt dictate what we wear and see come September.
