Where else but the birthplace of la mode could one find such spectacular clothes? To brighten your day, take a whirlwind tour of the City of Light's best fashion. Here is a quick look at what Paris’s top designers have in store for fall.
Christian Lacroix
’Tis the season for Lacroix, in more ways than one. While many runways contained references from the designer’s ’80s heyday—from peaked-shoulder blazers to billowing trousers and wild animal prints—Lacroix opted for a path less traveled. Simplifying his signature dramatic prints and tempering his sculptural shapes, he offered a collection that was strikingly modern. And while the designer may still be outfitting women of a certain age—like pal Catherine Deneuve, who sat front-row—pretty young things will be just as eager to slip into his cheerful fall separates.
